DT Prep is live. It's a free Android app for building the plans you hope you never need, and it works with no internet at all, ever. That's not a setting. The app has no internet permission, so it can't reach a network even if one is right there.
You make one plan per scenario: house fire, hurricane, bug-out, whatever fits. Each plan is built from the sections it actually needs. A PACE communication plan (Primary, Alternate, Contingency, Emergency). Evacuation routes and a meeting point with a real GPS pin. Utility shutoffs and a safe room for sheltering in place. Contacts, medical info, and supply checklists.
The checklists start from editable templates: a general bug-out bag, severe weather, hurricane, winter, wildfire, a vehicle kit, and a one-day comms bag built around a handheld radio. Set your household size once and a line like "1 gal/person/day, 3-day minimum" becomes an actual number for your family.
When it's real, the 🚨 button on any plan opens one big-text screen: where to meet, with distance and compass direction from GPS alone, plus one-tap call buttons, your PACE plan, and how to get out. There's also a home-screen widget.
Sharing works the same no-network way. Show a plan as a QR code and another phone's camera reads it, even with no Wi-Fi and no signal. You can also back everything up to a file, or print a plan as a PDF.
Get it at defendtomorrow.org/dtprep. Since the app can't check for updates on its own, new versions get announced right here on the blog and in the RSS feed. Found a bug or want a feature? Use the contact page.
